The diesel will give you more economy no doubt. But consider the fact that Indica tends to wear you down. It takes it's toll on your hands, legs. Go in for a Santro that'w what i'll suggest. But if you are scared of the petrol prices going up, and have zeroed in on the Indica, go in for the power steering version. Hope it helped.
